If you can't figure out your life, cut bangs

I figured out that I need bangs yesterday. It's because I have a really stupid hairline. I'd like to put my hair, which is somewhat long, in a pony tail sometimes, or just wear it down for that matter, but something is always a little off about the FRONT of my hair.
I won't bore you with this ridiculously petty topic or talk at length about how I should cut my hair, but I basically spent my free time last night googling "bangs" so I thought I'd share my findings...in case, by any chance, you're having a mental breakdown about life as well and need to cut bangs.

The first ones might be a tad too choppy, the second ones a little too swoopy, and, although I like the ones above, Matt does not find them appealing.

We sorta decided on something between Mary Kate/Ashely Olsen's bangs....

...and these.
I wanted him to help me pick which ones (he was extremely interested in this project...let me tell you) but I think he was having a hard time separating the particular actress from just the bangs. I kept saying "don't tell me which model you wish I looked like...tell me which BANGS you like." I don't think men work that way. I think he was a little distracted by the metal studded bra/shirt.
Well, anyway. If you have an opinion, let me know, because I'm going to the salon tomorrow.
This is the kids' last week of school for the year and Claire's last week of institutionalized school possibly forever since she'll be homeschooling while Sammy attends City Garden next year, so it's a bit of a weird time for me. Lots to plan for. Lots to consider. Lots to panic about. I think bangs will really help.

I think you're on the right track with bangs, but I think you should keep your hair longish...maybe start with bangs and change the rest gradually if you choose to do so.
big surprise edie wants you to keep your hair long....
